Bush was knee-deep in black people today.
In the morning he met with Mali’s President Amadou Toumani Touré (isn’t that a great name?), to whom he condescended thusly: “I was touched by the President’s concern about the life of the average citizen in Mali.”
In the afternoon it was time for Bush to celebrate African-American History Month. He explained, “As a civil society, we must understand that noose displays and lynching jokes are deeply offensive.” So I hope that’s clear now.
