The Passaic, New Jersey police used fire hoses on textile factory strikers a day ago and now, along with Clifton police, attack strikers with tear-gas bombs and clubs and motorcycles. Hey, my friend. I don't know if it's just me, but the API-endpoint PDF links you've been publishing for the last week or so haven't been working. If it's possible to resume linking directly to PDFs, that would be incredible! I've gotta see how the Countess gets out of this one!
ReplyDeleteAh, shit, I see that. I can't get to the pdf's of the articles either, not just from my blog but from the NYT website. I've checked multiple browsers. Hopefully this means the problem is widespread enough that they'll notice it and fix it. I'll start linking to the Timesmachine for articles embedded within images of the newspaper itself rather than PDFs, er, two weeks from now, which is how far I'm currently ahead. The best I can suggest in the meantime is finding articles in the daily sitemap, like so:

I used the https://timesmachine.nytimes.com/timesmachine/1926/03/04/issue.html link to get to the day's paper. I was surprised that both events you discuss are right on the front page!
