The USSR names a woman, Alexandra Kollontai, as minister plenipotentiary to Mexico.

Headline of the Day -100:

Not actual demons, sadly, but a Lt. Demons, chief officer of the French ship Lotus, which collided with and sank a Turkish coal ship, killing 8 Turkish sailors. It then docked in Constantinople, where he was arrested.  (Update: his real name is Desmons)
