New York City is undergoing an unusually large mosquito invasion this year, including City Hall, where they’re breeding in the pools around the statue of Civic Virtue.

  1. This is surely the bizarrest description of mosquitos I have ever read. Health officials "battle" against them, "hardy stingers" who invade City Hall! Love the war imagery. They can get through screens and seek to get revenge for the inconvenience? And screens "blossom forth" in buildings -- was this a new trend? And when have screens ever blossomed?
